International Development Week (IDW) runs from February 5 to 11, 2017 to celebrate Canadian contributions to poverty reduction in the developing world, and engage Canadians to learn about those efforts. Since its inception in 1991, IDW has become a uniquely Canadian tradition.
The theme of the 27th annual IDW is "Leave no one behind: Canada contributes to global goals", a collective effort to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals laid out in the UN’s Agenda 2030. On February 9, you can join the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) and Global Affairs Canada (GAC) in a discussion on building inclusive communities through the empowerment of women and girls. Sign up for the discussion panel in Ottawa, Ontario, or join the webcast
